Step into the year 1304, in the heart of Carcassonne — the largest fortified city in Europe and a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Travel back to an age of knights, faith, and courage, brought to life through breathtaking immersive technology.

Follow Simon, a young noble from northern France who journeys south to defend the city’s ramparts under his uncle’s command. Inspired by his family’s legacy, Simon dreams of honor and heroism — but his ideals will soon be tested by the realities of medieval life.

This 45-minute immersive expedition blends adventure, history, and emotion, letting visitors walk narrow cobblestone streets, train with the kingdom’s defenders, and experience medieval life as if they were truly there.

Created under the editorial and scientific supervision of Amancio Requena and Mathilde Bessieux (Centre des Monuments Nationaux), The Last Stronghold offers a vivid, human, and visually stunning portrait of the Middle Ages — a world both luminous and shadowed by the rise of the Inquisition.
