LATEST UPDATES
Redevelopment at CF Richmond Centre
The CF Richmond Centre redevelopment is well underway and on track, continuing the revitalization of both the shopping centre and the community and the exciting changes happening at CF Richmond Centre.
Six of the seven cranes are up, with the last crane slated for install late March or early April.
The first tower that will be opened and occupied now has 12 floors constructed. The next step will be to install windows...with the interior finishing work to start next month!
The expansion of the mall itself is also coming along well! Stop by and take a look at the large mural by Old Navy depicting images of the finished project.
Road Interruptions
Work will continue on Minoru Road with most of the initial road work done by the end of April.
Final road work and upgrades will continue throughout the project.

CF Richmond over the years:
1964
Richmond Square
Originally called Richmond Square, opened to the public in 1964. The mall created a new commercial area in the city centre.
1966
Hudson’s Bay
A Hudson’s Bay location was built on the northside of Richmond Square.
1989
Richmond Centre
Hudson’s Bay merged with Richmond Square, connecting both into one shopping centre. Richmond Centre became the central shopping node of the city.
1996
Horizon Towers
Construction of Horizon Towers brought new residential units to the centre. More residential projects were built along adjacent streets in the years following.
2009
Brighouse Station
Brighouse Station on the new Canada Line opened in advance of the 2010 Olympics, bringing a much needed transit connection to Richmond’s city centre.
2012
Dining Terrace
A state-of-the-art Dining Terrace opened, expanding the centre’s food offerings and providing a template for other dining halls across Cadillac Fairview’s portfolio.
2020
Ground Breaks
Ground breaks on the 27 – acre master plan that will continue to build on the vibrant energy of CF Richmond Centre with world-class homes and amenities anchored by Richmond’s first retail high street & public plaza.
