Friends first, now co-founders and designers, Andrea Lenczner and Christie Smythe launched SMYTHE in 2004. Coming from two different business backgrounds and design styles, they were on a unified mission to perfect one thing: the women’s blazer. Advanced styling, methodical tailoring, impeccable construction and designed to embolden the women who wear it; SMYTHE is the perfect, perfectly fitted blazer. After almost 20 years, we’ve expanded beyond blazers to a full ready-to-wear collection. The passion and methodology remain, as does the friendship. SMYTHE has now opened their second-ever boutique in Chinook and has partnered with local designer Nam Dang Mitchel to create the space. Nam has designed what she describes as "a sister store" to the brand's first location in Toronto, resulting in an inviting and intimate shopping experience. “We have had the most loyal and kind customers in Calgary, and we are very excited to spend more time with them in Chinook” – Andrea and Christie The store will open at the end of February, through a series of private shopping moments. Once officially open they will be offering their first guests a limited edition gift with purchase.
