Presenting CF TEC Art Corridor

We’ve turned part of Yonge Street into a gallery space! In collaboration with OCAD University we are showcasing the work of three emerging Canadian artists; the artists were asked to represent how design can bring people together and invite the community to the CF Toronto Eaton Centre.

The CF Art Corridor is featured prominently along Yonge Street from Shuter to Queen Street taking over nine billboards on the east side of CF Toronto Eaton Centre.  We invite you to take a moment, look up, and share the work!

The gallery exhibition showcases the works of:

Raquel Da Silva

Raquel Da Silva is a Toronto-based artist and designer, working primarily in painting and sculptural objects. Having received her BFA in Painting and Furniture Design at OCAD University, Raquel’s work focuses on creating abstract environments with two and 3-dimensional forms and shapes. The pieces created for “Imagine Together” evoke the city’s cultural vibrancy and reflect the energy it produces to inform, inspire, and regenerate.  Jason Zante

Jason Zante is a Filipino Canadian multidisciplinary artist based in Toronto, Canada. His bold, contrasting illustrations infused with vibrant colours depict stillness in time, Philippine culture, and ethereal landscapes. For ‘Imagine Tomorrow’ Zante emphasizes the role art and design play in influencing social change. Art and design encourage conversation, positively affect how we perceive and interact with each other, and can elevate people’s lives, whether through practical or emotional means.

Daria Joyce

Daria Joyce is an Illustration student at OCAD University. Her work is inclusive, playful and vibrant, as she aspires to create art that connects and illuminates. For ‘Imagine Together’ Daria drew from her personal experiences of the mall, where people from all walks of life come together. The CF Toronto Eaton Centre is a destination that brings us together in a visually inspiring environment, creating an emotionally enriching and communal experience. Her illustrations “Let’s meet at the Fountain”, “Going Up” and “A Place for Us” reflect the power of this shared space.
